何鸿燊 博士
Dr. Stanley HO Hung Sun
何鸿燊博士是著名的爱国企业家和慈善家,现任全国政协常委。
何博士致力推动香港经济发展,1984年至今,连任香港地产建设商会会长,同时他也是香港上市公司信德集团有限公司集团行政主席、澳门博彩控股有限公司主席。
何博士为建设澳门,作出积极贡献。他秉持「取诸社会,用诸社会」的宗旨,支持各项惠及澳门市民和社会的活动。现任澳门博彩股份有限公司行政总裁、澳门旅游娱乐股份有限公司总经理、中国工商银行(澳门)股份有限公司咨询委员会联席主席,并获委任为澳门特别行政区政府经济发展委员会成员、澳门基金会信托委员会委员,以及澳门大学议庭成员。
何博士致力促进香港和澳门回归祖国,曾任澳门特别行政区筹备委员会副主任委员、澳门特别行政区基本法起草委员会副主任委员,以及香港特别行政区基本法咨询委员会委员。
何博士热心公益,在教育、文化、艺术、体育及社区服务等方面,有杰出贡献,尤其热衷于文教事业,积极为社会培育人才。现任香港大学教研发展基金永远荣誉主席、香港理工大学顾问委员会创会委员、香港理工大学发展基金创会永远荣誉主席、澳门大学发展基金会创立人及信托委员会主席,以及澳门科技大学校董会荣誉主席。同时,他是香港公益金名誉副会长、香港演艺学院友谊社赞助人、香港女童军总会副会长、镜湖医院慈善会副主席,以及何鸿燊博士医疗拓展基金会信托委员会主席。
何博士支持祖国现代化建设,投资遍及内地多个城市。1990年成立何鸿燊航天科技人才培训基金会,并在河北省建造何鸿燊培训楼,以培训航天人才。何博士作为北京奥运会申办委员会顾问及澳门区的火炬手,捐资兴建国家游泳中心及支持北京奥运马术比赛香港基金。何博士热心于内地的慈善和教育事业,包括捐助广东省贫困地区的孤儿,协助受雪灾、地震影响的同胞重建家园。何博士热爱中华文化,致力宣扬爱国爱民族意识,当中包括抢救流失海外的圆明园猪首铜像和马首铜像,令国宝回归故里,他的爱国义举受到高度表扬。
何博士于2003年获香港特别行政区政府授予「金紫荆星章」,于2007年及2001年分别获澳门特别行政区政府授予「大莲花荣誉勋章」及「金莲花荣誉勋章」。此外,何博士获内地多个城市如北京、广州等授予荣誉市民衔。澳门和葡萄牙各有一条大马路以其名字命名。
何博士相继获澳门大学、香港大学、香港理工大学、香港公开大学及香港演艺学院授予荣誉博士学位;同时,他是香港演艺学院荣誉院士及英国皇家舞蹈学院院士。
国际方面,他屡获海外各地政府颁授荣誉勋衔,包括葡萄牙、英国、法国、比利时、西班牙、日本及马来西亚等国家。
Dr. Stanley Ho is a renowned patriotic entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is presently
a Standing Committee member of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's
Political Consultative Conference.
In Hong Kong, he is the Chairman of the publicly listed Shun Tak Holdings Limited
and SJM Holdings Limited, and has been the President of The Real Estate Developers
Association of Hong Kong since 1984, dedicated to the development of the economy.
Dr. Ho has made extensive contributions to Macau. He is Managing Director of Sociedade
de Jogos de Macau, S.A. and Sociedade de Turismo e Diversões de Macau, S.A., as
well as Co-Chairman of the Advisory Committee of Industrial and Commercial Bank
of China (Macau) Limited. He has been appointed a member of the Economic Development
Council of the Macau SAR government, a trustee of the Macau Foundation and a member
of the University Assembly of the University of Macau. Adhering to the principle
of "from society to society", Dr. Ho supports many activities for the
benefit of Macau's people and society.
Actively involved in facilitating the return of Hong Kong and Macau to China, Dr.
Ho was a Vice President of both Preparatory Committee and Basic Law Drafting Committee
of the Macau SAR, and a member of the Consultative Committee for the Basic Law of
the Hong Kong SAR.
Dr. Ho is known for his philanthropic generosity and active participation in the
promotion of education, sports and other community services. Devoted to nurturing
of future talent for society, he is Honorary Lifetime Chairman of The University
of Hong Kong Foundation for Educational Development and Research, Founding Member
of the Court of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Founding Honorary Life Chairman
of the PolyU Development Foundation, Founding Member and Chair of the Trustees Committee
of the University of Macau Development Foundation, and Honorary Chair of the Council
of Macao University of Science and Technology. Besides, he is also Vice Patron of
The Community Chest of Hong Kong, Patron of the Society of the Academy for Performing
Arts, Vice President of The Hong Kong Girl Guides Association, Vice President of
Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association and Chairman of the Trustee Board of Dr.
Stanley Ho Medical Development Foundation.
Dr. Ho has extensive investments in China in support of the Open Door Policy. In
1990, he founded the Stanley Ho Astronautics Training Foundation, and built the
Stanley Ho Astronautics Training Centre in Hebei Province. An advisor to Beijing's
Olympic Games Bidding Committee and Olympic Torch Runner in Macau, he contributed
to the National Aquatics Centre and the Beijing Olympic Equestrian Events in Hong
Kong. Over the years, his helping hand has been stretched to various sectors of
society, including donations to orphans in Guangdong, relief aids to victims of
natural disasters, and sponsorships for educational development. Dr. Ho is also
dedicated to the promotion of Chinese culture with an aim to foster the patriotic
spirit, including the purchase of Yuanmingyuan bronze boar head and horse head for
their return to China.
Dr. Ho was awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star by the Hong Kong SAR government in 2003,
and the Grand Lotus Medal of Honour and the Golden Lotus Medal of Honour by the
Macau SAR government in 2007 and 2001 respectively. In China, he was awarded honorary
citizenships by a number of cities. Macau and Portugal each has an avenue named
after him.
Dr. Ho holds honorary doctoral degrees from the University of Macau, The University
of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Open University of Hong
Kong and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He is also an Honorary Fellow
of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and a Fellow of The Royal Academy
of Dance in the United Kingdom.
With his international profile, Dr. Ho received a number of decorations and honours
from governments around the world, including Portugal, the United Kingdom, France,
Belgium, Spain, Japan, Malaysia and others.
